In exactly 5 months from today, I will turn 3-0.

I have decided to take it gracefully and accept my new "status" as a step up. A more mature version of me ... maybe. *LOL*

Three of my friends are here, so I figured I should be, too.

I'm Kim, 36, from Knoxville, TN....80's fan extraordinaire, musician, writer, artist, and excessive user of commas.

So now I come to you...with open arms. OK, not really.

  They've brought back Battlestar Gallactica.

Hope they kept the theme music. Only decent thing about that show.

Watched Saint Elmo's Fire last night. I haven't seent that movie for ages. Demi Moore was fabulous in it as Jewel. I think that is my favorite Brat Pack movie. Has any one seen any good 80's movies lately. What is your favorite Christmas Movie from the 80's? Christmas Story was mine. "You'll shoot your eye out."

Rags to Riches

You know how sometimes you're walking around and you remember something completely obscure from the 80's? Akin to watching MTV's I <3 the 80's, only slower, and in your head... yeah.

So I was walking to work today and I was struck by a memory of a TV show called Rags to Riches. I don't think it ran for very long, I barely remember what it was about (except some poor girls were taken in by a rich guy...?) - I also remember loving it to an extreme and making sure I was home and in front of the TV when it came on.

So yeah, Rags to Riches - anyone with me?

*EDIT* - I found a website!

I just made contact with an old friend from my days at uni. He asked me how I remembered him. He said he remembers me as "a 20 year old Sociology student, smoking cheap cigarettes and talking about The Cure". Well I have changed, I no longer study Sociology or am 20 years old! The rest is the same old same old as a 34 year old! *LOL*.

I was wondering, in this situation, how do you think you would be remembered as you were, say 15 years ago, and how are you different (or not) now?
